PhD Student at University of Texas at Austin
I am a fourth year PhD student studying in the Akinwande Lab at UT Austin under the PI Deji Akinwande. I am working on developing a novel sensors that detect viruses such as influenza and COVID using aptamers, abtibodies, and nanobodies on graphene and MoS2 transistors. Using bioactive sensing molecules allows us to detect smaller amounts of virus to create better sensors.
I will be using techniques such as micro-fabrication, electrochemical characterization, and chemistry to achieve my research goals.
I am also involved in the BME department in various roles as community and outreach are important to me. I love science and research and want to help others find the best place grow as scientists.
My general interests include neuroscience, neural devices, microfabrication, science policy, and science outreach.
